Distinctive Breeder of Internationally Competitive Papillons!
I was struck by the Papillon bug in 1996. Since then, it has been my passion to raise the best Papillon I can.
My dream to breed one fine enough to go to Westmister was realized thanks to Carrie Lovell’s work with Takoda. I would also like to extend special thanks to my friend Kristi Jacobs of Steppenwolf Kennels for her kindness through some tough times. She allowed me to introduce Pepejos Twilight Time to the Val-Hi Papillons family, for which I owe her my deepest gratitude. Several of his grandkids are now in the show ring from Val-Hi. Thanks to Bee Beeson for handling some of my dogs in the ring. There are several others I need to thank but not room to mention them all, so thanks everyone for all your help!
I met Gerald Patterson in the summer of 2003. That Christmas I gave him a Papillon puppy. I breed and care for the paps, and he spoils them. It's what he does best!
Nearly all puppies sold from Val-Hi are sold as pets, with a spay/neuter contract. The reason for this is simply to protect the integrity of the breed and my bloodlines. Any puppies sold with an unlimited contract must be to qualified show homes. Needless to say, we have many show quality papillons in pet homes. I am always very happy to receive pictures of my beloved paps with notes from happy owners who love their pets, and treat them as part of the family. Over the years I have met many wonderful people in this way. You know who you are! Thank you and God bless you all. I have yet to meet anyone who didn’t fall in love with their papillon. We live in a gorgeous area in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains not far from White River, Little Red River, Greers Ferry Lake and Lake Norfork. The rivers, lakes and streams in our area are cold, clear and gorgeous, we're a very popular tourist destination. Also a paradise for the avid sportsman! Plan your vacation around a visit to Val-Hi and enjoy the beauty of the "Natural State".
